Japan is the breeding ground of politeness! Even though they so technologically advanced, Japanese people are still rich in their culture. The people are so polite that they bow down in respect even when handling your credit card. In fact, they bow even on phone calls when a person cannot see them, but it’s part of their culture. They would also scold you for using the F word. If you are going to go up to a random person and say thank you for no reason, most of the times they are going to say “Arigato” back to you. Even if they find the roads all clear, they wouldn’t still cross it if it’s a red light. This is how civilized the people of Japan are; they would make you feel at home and there is a lot you can learn from them. You can dress up in beautiful Kimono or Yukatas if you like and no one would judge, in fact they’ll be more than happy to help you select and wear one.
5 – YOU SEE THE FACE OF TRUE RESILIENCE
The Hiroshima and Nagasaki! We all know what happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki around 71 to 73 years ago. In Hiroshima might still be surrounded with sadness, but what they don’t have is HATE! They are peace-loving people; even the war memorial is named as “The Peace Memorial.” These people built themselves up from scratch got back on their feet and are thriving today! Years ago, where there was just debris and horrors of war, and today there are beautiful buildings and happy people who move on with positivity in their minds.
Even in Nagasaki, life did not stop. The city has been completely re-built and a building surrounds the remains of the bomb destruction. They have a Chinese lantern festival every year right here in this city and the whole city beautifully lights up.
