1. Rent a cabin in the mountains of North Carolina.
Spending time in the mountains can be relaxing and therapeutic, especially if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of your life. The Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina provide some of the best beautiful views in the country, with green trees and sweeping ridges that seem to extend forever. Take a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway to see some of the sights of Ashe County, NC, home to the New River, some of Cherokee National Forest, and many Christmas tree farms. Ashe County Real Estate has many cabin log homes that you can rent in order to enjoy the great experience of this region. A real estate agent can help you find a place suitable for your whole family.
2. Visit an escape room in Los Angeles.
The city of Los Angeles, CA, has unlimited opportunities for entertainment, from tours of Hollywood to possible celebrity sightings. If you want to step off the beaten path, however, and find an activity for your whole family, visit Escape Rooms Los Angeles where you can choose a room and work together to figure out how to escape. There are six different locations throughout the metro area, including a location close to downtown Los Angeles. There are live actors in the rooms that add a dimension of fun and fright to the experience, making it one of the best escape rooms in the area. Choose a game master to coordinate the event, especially if you have a large group.
3. See the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
Walt Disney World is often referred to as “the most magical place on Earth,” and as soon as you enter Magic Kingdom‘s Main Street, you will understand why. Cinderella’s Castle towers in the distance as you experience smells, sounds, and music from your favorite Disney films. Head over to Fantasyland where you can ride Jungle Cruise or Pirates of the Caribbean, or go to Frontierland to see parades and shows. The whole family can find something fun to do at this theme park. If you are a roller coaster fan, the Seven Dwarves Mine Train is a great ride. Tomorrowland offers the People Mover, which is a good ride to get on if you need to sit and rest for a bit while touring that section of the park. Stay for the fireworks show at night at Cinderella’s Castle to close out your day with even more magic.
4. Tour the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
The largest canyon in the world, Arizona’s Grand Canyon is a sight that you must see in person. Majestic views, beautiful rocks, and more await you. The national park has two entrances at the north side of the canyon and the south side. The south side is the most visited, as it has easy access, but if you want to see the canyon without as many people around, consider taking the extra drive to the north entrance. This entrance may be closed down due to snow or ice, so check with the park before taking that trip.
5. Check out Acadia National Park in Maine.
Want to be one of the first people in the United States to watch the sunrise? Climb to the top of Cadillac Mountain in Maine’s Acadia National Park and you can. This park is on Mount Desert Island and offers gorgeous views throughout the area. It is also a great way to escape the heat since Maine tends to have a fairly temperate climate in summer.
