Escape Room: What Awaits You in a Locked Room?

Escape rooms appeared in Japan and China in 2007. Also, similar rooms began to appear in Europe. It is a short-term story game in a real room. People liked it. Of course, one can’t fail to note the novelty of the approach. Each computer game developer strives to immerse the player in their world and plot as much as possible to make them live the game. For this, three-dimensional glasses and game devices are invented. But escape rooms in Calgary made it possible. Not a person is transferred to the game, but the game itself is transferred to the person. The benefits of such gaming quests immediately spread positive reviews.

Escape Room Advantages

An escape room is one of three rooms. Players solve one single task in each of them. They need to find another way out. The area of €‹such rooms is not impressive. Usually, these are small spaces. An hour is enough to leave the premises. Usually, the interiors of the rooms are full of logical and search riddles, sometimes not very connected in terms of plot.

We can list a whole list of advantages that these games bring to the life of the players:

  • They tear a person away from a computer screen;
  • They unite players into teams, promote live communication between people;
  • They develop resourcefulness, ingenuity, observation, make them “crack their brains;”
  • They sometimes require physical skill and encourage movement.

To Play or Not to Play

The very principle of the game is very simple, and in general, if a person once found a way out of the room, it would be interesting to go to such a place again. To maintain the players’ interest, the authors of the quests come up with new stories, puzzles, non-trivial moves, and stylization. It is how whole sections of games appeared: scary, based on films/books, performance quests with actors, mystical ones, etc.

People, wanting to get another dose of adrenaline, become regulars in such “escape rooms,” choosing more scary stories striving for complete immersion and dissolution in the game. The game will help you relax and forget about the hustle and bustle, problems, and failures. So, after the quest, people feel a boost of energy, a surge of strength, and a great mood accompanies them. Players are offered a large selection of games, which provides an opportunity to choose a specific option, taking into account the age, requirements of the participants, and other points.
