8 Simple Snack Ideas to Enjoy

Being bored is a strange thing. It’s a feeling that can’t be described, but you know it when you feel it.

When you’re bored, you want something to do. Maybe you’re at work and have nothing to do for the next hour, or maybe you’re just at home and need something fun to do with your kids. Or maybe—and this one is the worst—you’re in the car on a road trip with your family, and everyone’s hungry and tired, but there’s nothing around for miles!

What do you do?

Well, we’ve got some ideas for simple snacks that are easy to make and pack up for travel or just keep around the house in case of boredom emergencies:

Wild Blueberry Juice:

Wild blueberries are loaded with antioxidants and fiber, making them one of the healthiest snacks out there. You can buy fresh wild blueberries or freeze-dried ones; both are great ways to get your daily dose of fruit! The best part about having these berries on hand is that they can be used in many different recipes as well! You can also drink some delicious wild blueberry juice everywhere!

Hummus and Pita Chips:

If you’re looking for a healthy alternative to chips and dip, try hummus and pita chips. Hummus is a spread made from chickpeas (also called garbanzo beans), olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic. It’s high in protein and fiber — two nutrients that help keep you feeling fuller longer.

Pita chips are usually made out of whole-wheat flour or corn tortillas that are baked until crispy. They’re also high in fiber, which helps maintain bowel health by keeping things moving through your digestive tract.

Roasted Chickpeas:

Roasted chickpeas make an excellent alternative to popcorn at home during movie night or as a side dish during dinner parties. Just toss some chickpeas with olive oil and spices like paprika, salt, and pepper, and roast them at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes until they’re crunchy on the outside but soft inside.

Fruit Salad:

If you’re craving something sweet, try out a fruit salad! It’s easy to make at home with fresh fruits like bananas, apples, and oranges. You can even add dried fruit like raisins or craisins for more flavor and variety. Fruit salads are also great because they contain lots of vitamins and minerals that your body needs to stay healthy!

Dark Chocolate Almond Milk Milkshake

This is a great way to get some protein into your system without feeling too heavy after a meal. Enjoying this milkshake will also help curb your cravings for sweets later in the day. The combination of chocolate and almond milk will give you plenty of energy throughout the day without weighing you down!

Sliced Apples with Almond Butter:

Apples are great on their own, but when you add almond butter, they become even better! This snack is sweet and crunchy – perfect for kids (or adults). You can also change up the fruit depending on what’s in season or what you have on hand – try sliced bananas, peaches or nectarines instead! To make this apple almond butter snack: Slice 1 apple into 1/2-inch-thick rounds. Spread one tablespoon of almond butter over each slice of apple. Serve immediately!

Sliced Banana Topped with Peanut Butter, Then Rolled in Granola:

This is a fun way to make your banana more interesting. You can add extra flavor by drizzling the peanut butter with honey or maple syrup or adding cinnamon and vanilla extract for a sweeter taste.

Cheese & Crackers:

This one is simple but delicious! The cheese provides calcium, protein, and even more calcium from the milk it comes from (if you use low or no fat). And don’t forget about those crackers—they’re full of healthy carbs!
