As a parent, you want this kind of space for your teens. But how? For a teenager that have a lot of things being used from home and schools, is it possible for them to have a minimalist bedroom? The answer, it’s possible! With the right storage in place, you are on your way to creating the minimalist teen bedroom.
Below are some storage ideas to achieve a minimalist bedroom for your teenager son or daughter.
Under the Bed Drawers and Boxes
I would say this is the best storage idea in the bedroom. If you are planning to buy a bed frame, pick those with drawers. It’s a smart and worth space saver in the bedroom to think that your teen can put a lot of things there. Don’t invest too much for expensive Firmest mattress. Indeed, purchasing a mattress is an investment but you must also consider the bed frame in your budget. Having drawers under bed is great way to store day-to-day things like shoes, clothes, bags, school supplies and even your teen’s gadgets like laptop and tablet. If you already have an existing bed frame and have a minimal budget, you can use boxes instead. Just make sure its sturdy, put a handle on it and add labels.
Storage Headboard
Another great idea to achieve minimal bedroom is having a storage in the headboard. Perfumes, beauty body essentials and books are common stuffs that your teen can put on this storage. So how it will be possible to be minimal if it will still appear or display? Cabinet style drawer can hide it or the actual storage is located at the both side of headboard. If both options are not possible with your current headboard style, you can use small folding baskets. Make sure the colors (at least two) will align to the theme you want to achieve for your teen’s bedroom so it will still look balance, clear and minimal. If the headboard is made up of wood with no foam, you can put at the top of it some picture frames or small artificial tree pot plants just to add a little accent to your teen’s bedroom.
Hang them at Back of the Door
This is a nice storage system for all of your teen’s handbags, belts and caps. I’m sure you don’t want them to place it anywhere in the bedroom. Our goal to this project is to achieve a minimal sleeping space and neat room for our teen. Also, by doing this portion, it will easily for them to get it as it was placed in one organize section. Use a fintorp and combine it with shower clips to hang those said items of your teen.
Bedside table with drawers
If you think bedside table are simply for added accent to your bedroom. Well now, it’s not anymore. There are bedside tables today design with drawers (usually in 2 and 3 layer) This is additional storage for your teen’s bedroom where they can put there personal stuffs like jewelries, watches, body essentials and mobile phones. Even snacks while studying, they can put it in here.
