Getting a Skateboard for My Brother
My brother is an excellent skater and is obsessed with the outdoors. To show him how much he means to me, I’m going to buy him a new skateboard. It might not be the best on the market, and compared to those he already has, it might even be worse, but it’s the thought that counts! I can’t wait to see him ollie and kickflip with it.
Beautiful Flowers and Chocolates for My Mom
My mother has always been there for me—she is my number one! Recently, she helped me through some serious emotional difficulties, and I feel compelled to thank her with a beautiful flower arrangement and some assorted dark chocolate, her two favorite things in the world!
Going forward, I might make a habit of bringing flowers every time I see her. She has always enjoyed planting them in her garden, and I’d be thrilled to help build up her backyard space. Brightening her days with flowers year-round—there are few things I would love to do more!
The Latest iPhone for My Dad
My dad always talks about the new gadgets that hit the market, but he doesn’t like spending the money on upgrades. In fact, his current phone is almost 5 years old! I decided to take care of him by buying him the newest iPhone. It’s the least I can do to thank him for raising me with such good values!
He’ll be thrilled when he sees what I bought him. I even made the home-screen my favorite picture of us together! It’s a simple way of personalizing the gift and making it that much more special. Hopefully he won’t drop the phone too much—that’s why I bought him a shock-proof case that could weather an earthquake!
Treating Myself with a Facelift
I may be spending a lot of energy treating the people I care about, but that doesn’t mean self-love isn’t equally important! Sometimes, everyone needs a little boost to get through the years, and in my case, I’d like to get a mini facelift to look younger and feel fresher. Lately, I’ve felt self-conscious about my face—it has gotten wrinkled and saggy, and I know that things will only get worse as I continue to age.
Although the facelift will be expensive, it’s my way of being kind to myself. Now, I won’t dread going out in public, attending special events, and even seeing my own family!
Getting a New Necklace for My Grandma
My grandma has worn the same necklace since before I was born, and I’ve always wondered why she never bought a new one. She deserves a luxurious piece of jewelry that sparkles, so I went out and bought her a beautiful golden cross with small diamonds. Of course, I won’t force her to get rid of her beloved necklace, but there’s nothing wrong with trying out something new!
My grandma is like a second mother to me, and always knows how to make me feel better when I’m feeling down. This necklace will show her just how much she means to me!
Mowing My Granddad’s Lawn
My granddad is getting old, and it is becoming more difficult for him to do everyday things around the house, especially with his bad back. I want to help him out by mowing his lawn, painting his fence, and spending some quality time with him over a few cold beers. I’m also considering buying him a riding mower so that he can more easily take care of his house when I’m not there. Finally, I’d like to buy him some other gifts that are more utilitarian.
Granddad has been a solid rock in my life and has passed so much wisdom onto me. Helping him out like this is the least I can do to show how much I appreciate him, and I also can’t wait to sit down and have a nice, honest conversation with him. It has been such a long time!
