You also use them when you attend trade shows. Since you cannot speak to everyone at the event, you hope that they will still drop by and read the information on the stand. Unfortunately, things will not always end this way.
Even if you thought that you had a great display stand for people to see, they might still ignore it. Imagine if you are in a crowded trade show where there are hundreds of companies in attendance. In an event where there are tons of information available, people want to maximise their time. They also have a limited time to speak with different companies. If they saw your board, and they did not see anything unusual, they might have just moved on. You need to include exclusive deals and promotions if you want to capture their attention. You can also come up with games that require people to participate by following the instructions on the stand. Without anything new, people have no reason to stay.
The design looks dull
Imagine if your stand is next to that of other companies where there are colours all over the place. They have fantastic and captivating images. They played with fonts. On the other hand, your stand looks too formal and dull. You used plain colours and text. You do not have exciting images apart from the logo of your company. No one would want to stop to look at everything in detail. Perhaps, it would work in a formal setting where there are only a few companies involved, but not in a crowded trade show.
You did not assign staff to be next to the stand
The good thing about using display stands is that you do not need anyone to stand next to them since the information is clear and easy to understand. You provide a summary of the details people need to know. However, you still need someone to get people’s attention. You want them to come to the booth or at least read the information on the stand. Having someone next to the stand will make people feel interested. Besides, if they have questions, they know that someone can provide an immediate response.
Given these reasons, it is time for you to change your strategy in the use of display stands. You need to edit the overall design and come up with exciting content. You also need to choose the best staff to help advertise your company during public events.
